Mechanical Engineer Grads in High Demand

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Spring 2008 Salary Survey, Mechanical Engineering grads top the list of highest "in demand" majors. According tot he Bureau of Labor Statistics, a starting salary for Mechanical Engineer grads averages just over $57,000. Demand for Mechanical Engineers is expected to hold strong as baby boomers retire and senior mechanical engineers progress to managerial roles.
