The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has released a study that says demand for SQL, Linux, C# and .NET skills is on the rise.
Demand for these skills increased over the past two quarters, according to the report, which examined technology demand and supply in the fourth quarter of 2009. E-Skills UK produced the report for REC Technology.
The study also found that there is now a higher supply of "ICT-ready candidates" than there is demand for these skills. The REC predicted that this will allow recruiters to increase their recruitment activity significantly as the economy gets better, and that it will make it easier and faster for recruitment agencies to place IT workers.
