Naturally, you have to report your wages and salaries for last year. But you might also have to report other forms of compensation, such as severance pay, bonuses, fringe benefits, stock options and unemployment compensation if you received them.

You might be eligible for the earned income credit of a few thousand bucks, if you made less than a certain amount and meet other eligibility requirements.
