February Diversity Job Fairs

The diversity job fairs below are occurring during Black History Month. But they are equal opportunity and open to all comers.

Typically, there are far more diversity job fairs in Black History Month. But the poor job market at the start of 2002 has likely caused employers and event producers to cut back on all events. Still, it is not an exhaustive list of every diversity job fair, but rather only those that currently show up in a Web search. Please be sure to also check for them in your local newspapers, and watch and listen for them on your local radio and TV stations.

San Antonio, 2/6
Not specifically listed as a diversity fair. But it's sponsored by the Urban League, which assists African-Americans in achieving social and economic equality.

Philadelphia, 2/13
Diversity and high-tech job fair sponsored by the NAACP.

Cambridge, 2/23
Appears to be a job fair for minority educators and other professionals, hosted by Harvard University. Details are skimpy at this writing, but they do provide a toll-free phone number you may call for more information.

Black Engineer of the Year Virtual Job Fair
An ongoing virtual fair, sponsored by equal-opportunity companies. Get a jump on the competition, by linking to employers planning to recruit at the next, Black Engineer of the Year Awards Conference.

DiversiLink Virtual Job Fair
An ongoing virtual fair, at the career site of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Submit your resume directly to featured employers, who encourage diversity (not only Hispanics) in the workplace.
