Diversity Career Events
In Black History Month
Diversity Career Resources Graphic
Part 2

Where can I find diversity events?
Check Job Fairs, where you'll find links to dozens of job and career fairs, including diversity. For nice-to-have resources such as driving maps and weather forecasts, see About Job Fairs.

Browse Cultural Diversity, where you'll find organizations and career sites dedicated to helping ethnic groups, minorities, veterans, and people with disabilities find jobs, recognition, scholarships, events, and more. Also see Women's Resources.

Where are the diversity career events this month?
Below are diversity career events (mostly job fairs) scheduled for this month, some from Job Fairs and others from the sites in Cultural Diversity. Just click for details.

1/29 - 2/2, Atlanta
The National Association of Minority Engineering Program Administrators (NAMEPA) Conference. Although already started, you may register on the days you wish to attend.

2/11-13, Baltimore
13th annual Black Engineer of the Year Awards Conference. "The most comprehensive career and professional development event for African-American executives, professionals, college and pre-college students in math, science, technology and engineering."

2/12-13, Boston
Minority job fair for students and professionals interested in newspaper careers. Deadline for registration is 2/5.

2/15, New York
Minority career fair. Location to be announced. Check back about 1 week before the scheduled date. If it's still not available, call 1-800-288-2890 toll free.

2/21-27, National Engineers Week
All about the equal-opportunity event, with links to related resources and events.

2/22, Austin
Minority career expo, but no details at this writing. Check back about 1-2 weeks before the scheduled date. Scroll down the page to 1999 Schedule.

2/23, Tulsa
Technical career fair, sponsored in part by the Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League. There's also a sales, management and business career fair, same day, time, place and sponsors. Hmm... Are they trying to pull a fast one? Probably not. Separating the fair details makes it easier for you to research employers (exhibitors) in advance. Incidentally, clicking on the exhibitors opens a new browser window. This window will still be open in the background.

2/24, Philadelphia
The NAACP is giving their job fair site a facelift. The link to this fair works off and on, but all details are not available at this writing. (Fairs are typically diversity, high-tech.) Check back about 1-2 weeks before 2/24. If details are still not available, you may send email to sales@shomexproductions.com or call 1-800-562-7469 toll free. This contact information is for Shomex Productions, the producers of NAACP-sponsored job fairs.
