With the U.S. economy slowly improving and spring moving into the summer of 2002, job fairs are on the rise. Below are upcoming job fairs listed by the producers as technical, or general, science or diversity job fairs with technical opportunities, for April and May. Although April has now come and gone, the producers' sites might still list the related job opportunities or hiring companies, and forward your resume.

Just scan the City column for the location nearest to you, check the Date, and then click the Producer link for more details.

• In some cases, you may register, submit your resume or search for jobs in advance of the event.
• If details are skimpy or absent, check back about 1-2 weeks before the event or contact the producer. You might also check local newspapers.
• Even if you miss a fair, you might have a second shot. As mentioned above, the producer might forward your resume to the hiring companies.
• Job fairs are subject to rescheduling and cancellation (especially in this slow job market). Be sure to double-check one or two days before the scheduled date.
