From Laura Schneider:Growing up in the Silicon Valley of California, the technology industry has always played a central role in my life. Combine that with my love of talking to people and finding out their "stories" and it makes sense that I ended up finding success and fulfillment in the technical recruiting arena. I started my school career wanting a role in finance, but it was always the human resource management classes that I enjoyed the most. After graduating, I started working in various HR roles and quickly found my niche in technical recruiting. I continued my education because I wanted to learn more about how to best manage the biggest asset of any company, its employees. My personal belief is that recruiting and employee retention should go hand in hand and should align strategically with the long term business goals of the company.
