Adobe is a leading software company, with headquarters in San Jose, CA. They are publically traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol ADBE. Adobe was founded in 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke. The founders had left Xerox PARC
and established the company to develop and sell a page description language caled Postscript, which was later licensed by Apple Computer
and helped revolutionize the desktop publishing industry. As the company grew and expanded their software, web development tools and publishing tools groups, they opened offices around the world. Adobe's market penetration is truly worldwide, with more than half of their revenues generated outside the United States.

Adobe employees are well compensated. In addition to competitive base salaries, employees are awarded up to a 10 percent profit sharing bonus paid quarterly, based on Adobe's financial performance. They may be eligible for other bonuses as well. Stock purchase and options are standared perks (the amount depends on seniority and level).
