Here are the best online resources for finding DBA job listings. These job listing sites are great for DBA jobs as well as other technical jobs. Includes links to other DBA job listing and job searching resources.
DICE is one of the most comprehensive job listing sources for DBA jobs. It seems that DICE has a solid hold on the technical recruiting job board niche, and many of the jobs that I see on there for DBAs as both full time employees and consulting or contingent staff.
Indeed is a job search engine, and so the job listings that it finds are compiled from a varity of sources that the website has spidered. This includes sites like DICE as well as corporate career sites and commuity sites such as Craigslist. You can set up Indeed to email you the new results found for your search either daily or weekly.
Craigslist has a lot of great job listings for techies, and when I check I find a lot of DBA job listings, especially in certain geographic areas. If you check Craigslist for job listings, you need to do so individually for each geograpahic area you would consider working in (unless you use Indeed or another job search engine). I love Craigslist, though, because it is free in many areas and inexpensive even in the larger cities for employers to post their jobs.
Monster is one of the largest job boards out there, and many of the bigger companies have job posting packages with Monster. There are also a lot of technical consulting companies that are hiring DBAs for contract positions and have these openings posted on Monster.
LinkedIn is a great job search tool. You can find job listings that companies or recruiters have posted, and you can also use the social networking aspects of LinkedIn for your job search. For DBA jobs, you can search for other DBAs to network with, you can find Corporate Recruiters or Headhunters that have DBA openings, or you could even contact hiring managers directly at your target companies to see if they are hiring.
